International Restless Legs Scale

International Restless Legs Scale is a 10-question scale, developed as a means of assessing the severity of EKD and tracking changes in symptoms associated with this pathology. It assesses the impact of EKD in a patient’s quality of life and function. Each question can be answered with one of five possible answers with attached points (0 to 4) according to severity. Therefore, a maximal score of 40 can be obtained. Generally, a rating scale score between 1 and 10 corresponds to ‘mild’, 11 to 20 ‘moderate’, 21 to 30 ‘severe’ and 31 to 40 ‘very severe’ EKD.
