Near infrared light

Near infrared light is used in the treatment for diabetic peripheral neuropathy. It increases circulation by increasing nitric oxide generation. Devices usually consist of a base power unit and have between 1 and 8 therapy pads, each containing a varying number of gallium aluminum arsenide diodes and emitting light with a wavelength of 880 to 890 nm; this treatment is non-invasive and drug-free.
